About Us

Established by local veterinarians in 1988, Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services (HERVS) provides 24 hour emergency medical, surgical  and critical care for the safety and welfare of sick pets of Harford, Cecil, Baltimore and surrounding counties. We also serve Pennsylvania and Delaware patients. We pride ourselves in maintaining a nursing staff that is technically skilled in all aspects of veterinary medicine.  Each doctor and staff member is dedicated to providing a "home away from home" environment for the dog, cat or small animal patient. Our hospital was designed with emergency medicine in mind. We are committed to helping everyone who is affected by their pet's illness We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. The clinic includes a well-stocked pharmacy, surgical suite, in-house radiology, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor kennels with outdoor walking areas. We strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your dog, cat or other companion animal for a maximum number of years.
