Doctors of Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services
Dr. Wendy R. SnyderDr. Snyder has over 20 years of veterinary experience. A 1987 graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Snyder has been at Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services since 1989. In 1998 Dr. Snyder took over the practice and medical direction of the hospital. Dr. Snyder is the current President of the Harford Veterinary Medical Association and has held the office since 2005. Dr. Snyder was born and raised in Maryland and has a deep appreciation for offshore fishing, gardening, and is an enthusiastic gourmand.
Dr. Lisa Baker
Harford County native Dr. Baker is a Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine 2004 alumnus. Dr. Baker worked as a veterinary technician at Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services while attending Salisbury State University. Dr. Baker is partial to dachshunds, as she lives with three, Sally, Sarah and newest edition Sammy. Dr. Baker donates her time to the local rabies vaccine clinics and enjoys speaking to groups about veterinary medicine. Dr. Baker enjoys drawing, painting, and ballet.
Dr. Laura KretchmerDr. Kretchmer has her roots in Harford County. A graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Kretchmer has completed a yearlong rotating internship at Anne Arundle Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Annapolis, MD. Dr. Kretchmer received the Harford County Veterinary Medical Association Scholarship in 2007. While working on her under graduate studies, Dr. Kretchmer worked as a veterinary technician at Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services as well as Festival Veterinary Clinic and Rock Spring Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Kretchmer enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, and yoga.
Dr. Martha TubmanDr. Tubman is from the 2004 graduating class of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Tubman is the recipient of numerous Hollins University Awards. Dr. Tubman also completed an internship at the Baltimore Zoo in 1999. Dr. Tubman splits her time between Maryland and Virginia where she and husband raise sheep and goats on their farm.
Dr. Brandy WatsonDr. Watson is a Louisiana transplant. She is a 2006 graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University. Dr. Watson has been practicing in Maryland since graduation. During her years in academia, Dr. Watson was the Treasurer of SCAAEP, a member of SCAVMA and Foal Team. Dr. Watson offers her services to the Baltimore County Humane Society on a regular basis.
Dr. WillensDr. Willens is a decorated Major in the United States Army Veterinary Corps who joined immediately after September 11, 2001, as well as a doctor at Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services. Dr. Willens has served our country proudly in Iraq in 2007 and is currently stationed at Ft. Detrick. Dr. Willens is a graduate of University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine, completed an internship at Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, and possesses a PhD in pharmacology from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He has published several veterinary medical journal articles and book chapters and is studying for the American College of Zoological Medicine board exam. Dr. Willens spends his modest free time with his wife and three children and is lead vocals for the band “Til September”.
