Since 1988, Harford Emergency & Referral Veterinary Services (HERVS), has been providing Harford County and the surrounding area with the highest quality emergency medical and surgical care for companion animals during the hours when your regular veterinarian is not available. HERVS is the first twenty-four hour animal emergency facility in Harford County. Our mission is to provide a total-pet health care environment with superior customer service, ensuring that the needs of the pet, the client and referring veterinarian are met.

HERVS occupies a building custom-built to meet the special requirements of an animal ER. The facility features state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment, including a dedicated Intensive Care Unit. HERVS offers the most advanced animal emergency care available in Harford County with 24 hour nursing care for the safety and welfare of our patients. At HERVS, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care for both our pets and their owners. We are fully staffed with veterinarians and technicians who are trained and experienced in handling animal emergencies.
